German Green Steel and Power Limited, formerly Haq Enterprises Private Limited, was incorporated in Gujarat on July 9, 2008. The company changed its name to Haq Steels and Metaliks Private Limited in April 2018 and converted into a public limited company as Haq Steels and Metaliks Limited in May 2018. Its current name was adopted in January 2024.
The company is a vertically integrated iron and steel manufacturer focused primarily on TMX Bars. Its product portfolio includes TMT bars, mild steel (MS) billets and sponge iron. It operates two manufacturing facilities in Gujarat: a vertically integrated plant at Samakhiyali and another facility at Viramgam. The Samakhiyali facility manufactures sponge iron, MS billets and TMT bars and is supported by captive waste heat, thermal and hybrid wind-solar power plants. The Viramgam facility is also supported by captive hybrid wind-solar power generation.
The company commissioned its Samakhiyali unit in 2019 and a 4.24 MW wind-solar hybrid project in 2023. In 2024, it acquired a 97% stake in German TMX Private Limited, making the entity a subsidiary.
The company is planning an initial public offering comprising an issue of equity shares aggregating to Rs 4,500 crore, with shares having a face value of Rs 10 each, along with an offer for sale of 20,00,000 equity shares.
