Frequently asked questions
What is Seasonality Analysis?
Seasonality Analysis helps identify recurring historical price patterns across stocks and indices by analyzing how they have performed during specific months over previous years.
Is seasonality a prediction?
No. Seasonality reflects historical patterns, not future outcomes. It should be used alongside technical and fundamental analysis as part of a broader research process.
How are the Best Stocks ranked?
Stocks are ranked primarily by Average Historical Return for the selected period. Additional metrics such as Positive Rate and Consistency Score help evaluate the historical reliability of each seasonal pattern.
What is the Consistency Score?
The Consistency Score is a proprietary metric that combines Directional Consistency, Return Magnitude, and Stability into a single score that measures how reliable a historical seasonal pattern has been.
What is the Seasonal Swing Screener?
The Seasonal Swing Screener helps identify historical swing opportunities based on a selected entry date, holding period, and return direction. It ranks the strongest historical setups using Average Historical Return while also showing their historical consistency and past performance.
Why do some stocks have fewer historical years?
Historical metrics are calculated using all available price history for each stock or index. Recently listed stocks may therefore have a smaller historical sample than older companies.
How should I use this dashboard?
Use the dashboard to identify historically strong seasonal patterns, then validate potential opportunities with your own technical, fundamental or risk management framework. Historical seasonality should be considered alongside other forms of analysis rather than in isolation.
